C172 Flight Deck - Analog

The C172 Flight Deck is designed to be used at home or at flight schools to train students using the aircraft. The goal is to help them learn to recognize the function of all instruments present in a fully Glass Cockpit equipped Cessna 172 Skyhawk aircraft, and to experience all aspects of flying a single engine aircraft. The Volarent Flight Deck is compact enough to be placed on a table, stored, and moved easily and efficiently.
Flight Simulator Software The C172 Flight Deck is available with Prepar3D, Microsoft FSX and FS9 and X-Plane. We have an SDK available to interface our instruments with your own proprietary flight simulator software. Please contact us to discuss the possibilities. |
The Volarent C172 Flight Deck is so realistic that you can hardly tell the difference between the simulator and the real aircraft panel. Modeled after the popular Cessna 172 Skyhawk, all details are precisely reproduced according to the exact dimensions of the original panel and they can be found in exactly the same position. Using gauges and avionics modeled after the original, and designed to be driven from a Personal Computer, the Volarent C172 Flight Deck is the ultimate training device for pilots. This product also comes with professional rudder pedals and an additional cockpit enclosure and visual.
This system comes standard as hardware only, without a computer software system or visual and flight simulator software. If required we can also deliver this system with a complete 19″ rack computer system (PC for Flight Simulator software and PC for Instructor station), a 50″ LCD visual, Prepar3D 2.0 Flight Simulator software and Virtual Instructor Station Pro (VISPRO) from Flight 1 Aviation Technologies.

The Volarent Cabinet and Glareshield
The Volarent Cabinet and glareshield is a combination of the glareshield which is vacuum formed from 5 mm., leatherprint, non flammable black ABS plastics in combination with an aluminium frame consisting of 3 mm. thick aluminium panels and 1 mm. thick bended, white powdercoated panels to form the full cabinet.
Volarent C172 Panel Analog Cockpit
These panel parts are made out of 2 mm. (approx. 0.08″) aluminum, thereafter powder coated for extreme resistance against damages and printed with black for the lower part and white for legends. It contains all the cut-outs as for the Volarent Analog Cockpit instruments.

The USB Wet Compass is a precise replica of an original so-called wet compass as used in real aircraft.
Warning Panel

C172 1000 Glass Cockpit Desktop Trainer

The Volarent Glass Cockpit Desktop Trainer is a plug and play Garmin G1000 Glass Cockpit trainer. Everything is included; the Volarent 1000 Complete Glass Cockpit units, a computer system with pre-installed Windows 10, flight simulator software (Prepar3d) and G1000 software (Garmin G1000 Student Simulator Software from Flight 1 Aviation Technologies), a monitor and a joy stick. All you need to do is unpack the desktop trainer, plug it in to a power socket and switch it on.
The hardware is produced from quality ABS using plastic injection molding and high quality electronics. All buttons and rotary encoders work as you expect them to do, even the joystick function on the right hand side of the PFD and MFD bezel is implemented. |
Each display unit (PFD or MFD) has 2 SD Card slots, which are recognized by the computer connected as 2 additional disk drives. A complete Volarent system includes 2 main displays and one Audio Panel. Each display unit comes with all buttons for a.o. the Autopilot in position. Even the VNV Key (Vertical Navigation Mode) is available. You can replace the bezel on the left side of each module for a bezel with either 11 button positions or for a bezel with no button positions at your choice. The extra bezels are included in the package. No special tools are needed for this replacement.
Software Development Kit
The Volarent is a so-called HID-device. This means that no special low-level drivers are necessary to interface the buttons and rotaries information to your PC. Upon request information is available how to read the information of rotaries and buttons. Interfacing to self-written BASIC or “C” programs is therefore quite easy.

The Volarent C172 1000 is a 100% scale replica of a popular Glass Cockpit System as found in many modern aircraft. The display functionality is supported by Microsoft’s professional Simulation Platform ESP, by Flight Simulator FSX and (with additional software packages from third parties) for Microsoft FS9. Together with Flight 1 Aviation Technologies, the Volarent 1000 Complete Glass Cockpit works perfectly with Lockheed Martin’s Prepar3D. The hardware is produced from quality ABS using plastic injection molding and high quality electronics. All buttons and rotary encoders work as you expect them to do, even the Joystick function on the right hand side of the PFD and MFD bezel is implemented (the functioality of rotaries and buttons is limited to the functionality available in Microsoft FSX).

The high resolution TFT screens of the PFD and MFD displays can be connected to additional video ports on your PC. The MFD and PFD displays each have a single USB connection, through which connection the control of the knobs, pushbuttons, SD Card interfaces and the video information is accomplished.
Each display unit (PFD or MFD) has 2 SD Card slots, which are recognized by the computer connected as 2 additional disk drives. 4 SD Cards of 1 Gigabyte are included in the complete system.
This system comes standard as hardware only, without software. If required we can also deliver this system with Garmin G1000 Student Simulator Software from Flight 1 Aviation Technologies. A complete Volarent system includes 2 main displays and one Audio Panel. Each display unit comes with all buttons for a.o. the Autopilot in position. The Rudder Pedals with Proportional Brake System are an exact replica of the rudder pedals found in many aircraft. Produced from a stainless steel rudder system with die-cast aluminium rudder pedals (original aircraft parts) and a powder coated, 3 mm. thick stainless steel case, these rudder pedals are really heavy duty! The proprotional toe brake system let you use the brake to control the aircraft when on the ground precisely. The Rudder Pedal System is the only one on the market resembling the original parallel travel as in real aircraft. The Rudder Pedal system is equipped with an AD Converter, which translates the analog signal to a digital signal. This AD converter improves the precision of the potentiometers enormously from 256 steps to 1024 steps for each potentiometer. The rudder pedals can be connected to your PC via USB and is recognized under USB as a standard control device by the PC. Therefore you can use it with any flight simulator software.

The Volarent 2244 Collective is a replica of the the collective as used in the Robinson Helicopter.
It is featured with a twist throttle handle with foam handgrip. It also has a Rotor Governor Switch built into the handle, just like the original helicopter has! The friction of the Collective can be adjusted by the friction adjust wheel on the side. The Collective is produced using an aluminum casing (powder coated), stainless steel tubing and stainless steel internal mechanics.
